Photo Challenge Day 24!

All right. So, I broke a promise. I didn't keep my solemn oath to do this photo challenge everyday. You see, I've been away for a couple of days and I have to leave my laptop behind because it's not natural to bring it with me. I had to do some important stuff. And I hate to say this, but I have to, again, postpone this challenge until I'm free enough to do it. You see, I still have more important stuff to do and keeping this on a daily basis could take me away from those 'important stuff'. But, hey, no sweat. I promise to be back with more of this photo challenge when all of this 'important stuff' is over. Thanks a lot. So, here's my last photo challenge. For the meantime, of course...

Today's challenge wants me to post someone I miss. So the challenge basically wants me to be extra cheesy and a little bit sweet. Not to mention corny. But it happens once in a blue moon, so why not carry on with it. But I'm not gonna post someone, as in singular. Because I have four people in mind.

The first one is this... (Note: the photos are taken from their respective Facebook profile pages)

Yeah. That's my big brother. (You can't see his face, but obviously, he's the guy. With him is, uhm, his unofficial fiance, Ate Lanlan. Unofficial because the ritual of making it official is not up 'till this coming Saturday. And, my, this is a big news, everyone. But I'll not go to every detail yet. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say things in this blog. But one thing is for sure, I'm as excited as them :D) That's Beejay, but we call him Besce. And maybe a lot of brothers are on riot when they are together, but not us. We share a lot of common interests. Especially in gadgets. Especially. In. Gadgets! Next, video games, of course. We're on our twenty's right now but we are still loco with video games. We like to play same games and just compare our high scores. Brotherly competition, brah. Sure we have our own indifferences. Like the way he likes Racing Games and not Simulation, and me liking Simulation and not Racing. But that's alright. We still get along pretty well. We also have argument at times, but we always manage to get through with it. It can never be removed in brothers, man. It's part of the equation. But the most important thing is, at the end of the day, at the end of every challenging day, your love for a brother remains. *<aawww...>*

Next is...

And that is my little sister. (She's with what she calls 'Besfie'. They both like to believe that one of them is Emma Stone and the other is Taylor Swift. Just figure out who is who). One of my little sisters, actually. She's Larrielyn, but we call her Yenn.  For convenience, most of the times, for fun, sometimes. Now this girl, I can say, is I am closest with. We shared a lot of moments together compared to my other two siblings. No offense, guys (I mean to my two other siblings). For one, we're both Youths for Christ. We both share common passion. We both love doing service for the Church and for God. We've been into a lot of youth activities together inside and even outside of our hometown. To put it simply, we know each other so much. She shares my love when it comes to movies, music, and even in talk shows. We both love Ellen. And that is something!

Next is...

That is my other little sister (That's one of her millions of selfie's). Her name is Hillary. But we call her Yayie. Simply because my other sister couldn't say her name the right way. When we asked Yenn to say Yayie's real name, all she managed was Yayie. Well, at least her name got some cool history. When it comes to arguments, we pretty had a lot of it. But, of course, everything sets off overnight. Arguments of today are left behind the next morning. To give space for another new, fresher, intenser arguments. *<Laugh>*. That's us. But, hey, I love her. She's one of the few people who can make me laugh genuinely. She respects me too, man. She knows when and when not to mess with me. That's Yayie.

And lastly....

She's my closest friend. At the same time the farthest. And I've told of a lot of things about her to last a lifetime worth of nightmare. Kidding. Kidding again. *<Laugh>*. So I just put her picture here 'coz I really miss her (which you can't clearly see. For some reason, she made this photo of her at mid-air with a lot of cars at the back. I think she wants us to focus with the cars. Ok, cars). But I'll leave at that.

That's for today. I miss them and I'm always looking forward to spending quality time with them someday. Except for the last, of course. Me meeting her someday is still blurry. Good luck with that. Besides, there's Line :D

PS. I think someone would be really offended if I'll not include her on the list. I said I miss four pips. Apparently, I'm wrong. Here's the fifth.

That's Fides. She's the girl with the glasses. Oh, they both have glasses. She's the girl in the left. And in the right, is a clear shot of Ate Lanlan, my brother's girlfriend and soon to be... you get it. Fides is practically a sister of mine already. She's close to us. Even to our parents. And I told you, she's my number one supporter! A little trivia, she's the first follower of mine on this blogspot. And in every venture I took as far as the world wide web is concern, she's there. Like, all the time! So, who wouldn't miss a girl like this? Besides that, I've shared a fair share of memorable moments with her. In which most are already forgotten. But, hey, they are still memories. They just need some kicks to remember. She's a giver, too, I think. She gave my sister Yenn a bonnet which I have been so meaning to take from her by asking her politely to just give it to me. She gave my sister Yayie a digital watch (those kind of watch where you have to press it before it reveals the time) which was then taken from her by my sister Yenn and instead got herself another watch, analog this time. But, hey, they both have watches. She gave a gay family friend called Joseph or Otep a bunch of fake eyelashes. Her mother, through Fides, gave my mother an imported bag, my father an imported perfume, and my sisters imported perfumes. She gave a common friend of ours a jacket, a VARSITY JACKET at that. A FRIEND WE BOTH JUST KNEW FOR BARELY FOUR MONTHS NOW! NOTICED ANYTHING? SHE HAVEN'T GIVEN ME ANYTHING! WELL, UHM, YEAH, SHE GAVE ME SOMETHING ON MY GRADUATION DAY. A TRAFALGAR LAW HEADSET AND A COMPLETE SET OF THE MUGIWARA CREW'S WANTED POSTERS WITH AN ADDED BONUS OF SHANKS'S AND JIMBEI'S WANTED POSTERS. BUT THAT'S A SPECIAL OCCASION. PEOPLE OUGHT TO GIVE SOMETHING DURING SPECIAL OCCASIONS!!! AND I HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANYTHING FROM HER THAT I CAN LABEL WITH OH-KUYA-HAWOO-MIGHT-LIKE-THIS-SO-I'LL-GIVE-IT-TO-HIM SORT OF AN ITEM!!! ON THE OTHER HAND, I HAVEN'T GIVEN HER ANYTHING TOO. *<Long moment of silence>*. That explains it. Well, I'm calm now. *<Lol>*. BUT, HEY, DID THESE PEOPLE MENTIONED GIVE FIDES ANYTHING IN RETURN?!? I'M RAGED AGAIN! *<SHOUT FOR THIRTY MINUTES>*. Okay, I'm okay now. Maybe she has her reasons. Maybe mine would be so special that when she finally gives it to me, I would be like, "Oh, my, Fides! I love you! Thank you for this! I never expected it! A Trafalgar Law Jacket and a complete set of Mugiwara Crew action figures?!? This is too much! Thank you, thank you!". That's probably what she has in mind. And maybe she's preparing for it right now. Maybe she wanted to surprise me. That settles it. I'm excited now!

And in case you haven't noticed, Fides's part on this blog is the longest. Maybe she'll add a complete set of Fairy Tail characters action figures and a complete set of Lucy's celestial keys. That is awesome 0.o!

Photo Challenge Day 17!

A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently. That's the challenge for today. And after a lot of thinking... I think this would best suit the challenge...

Yep. The Capul Parish Youth. Talk about impact, man. These youths became instant friends. My circle of friends expanded exponentially! Two of them even became instant fans. Nailed it! *<laugh>*. These people here is one of reasons why every single time, like out of nowhere, I wanna pack my things and go back home. We shared a pretty small amount of time together. Like half of December and half of January. That makes almost one month. And that's not exactly a long time, right? But the bond and friendship we created makes us feel like we met each other a million years ago. It's like the friendship we made was tested and proven by time. You know what I'm saying? That's just it. These people, these children of God, just made me see and realize one of my missions in life. And that is NOT to stop fighting for the youths. That they have a say in this society. And that God still has hopes in them. The Parish Youth Days 2013 was a big proof of that. PYD 2013 really made a big impact in my life. And that's saying something.

If there's a first runner up for this kind of thing, I would say this...

You're seeing it right. That's Line. One of the many free messaging apps that keeps on popping out. There's Kakao Talk, Viber, WeChat, BBM, Kik, WhatsApp and a whole lot more. But Line is my favorite and my most used out of all of them. I think it's actually the best there is. I tried all of them and Line was the only messaging app left un-uninstalled. Geddit? So, what did Line do to me that impacted me that much? Well, it reconnected me to one of my favorite people in the Philippines. Except, of course, she's not in the Philippines anymore. She's in Australia. Yeah, my daughter. The only person in the world I can talk with anything. Everything! Line made it possible for us to chat, talk, share photos and send live stickers. That's what basically Line can do. But in every chat and calls, there wasn't any idle time. We keep on talking about anything that comes out. Mostly nonsense, really. But fun, nonetheless. Our latest topic was daylight saving time. Who would in their right minds would talk about daylight saving time?!? Just us.

Done. That's day 17.

Photo Challenge Day 9!

All right. Today’s challenge is very confusing. Or literally ununderstandable.  The challenge asks me to post a picture of the person who has gotten you through the most. I don’t get that. I mean, what?!? I don’t know if it’s negative or positive. I don’t know if the person I’d be putting here would be happy or NOT be happy. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!

And I did. I asked somebody’s help. A somebody that’s also taking this challenge so seriously. Apparently, this is a good thing. So I’m gonna post this…

Yeah. I think that’s enough. Spamming this blog with her face might spoil it. I think I’ll lose a lot of traffic *<Lol>*. I took the photos from her Facebook, specifically from her Profile Pictures album. So as to not offend her if I’d put some of her worst pictures in my albums. I might just get a cold treatment from her for two minutes. And I can’t take that, man. I can’t!

All right, that’s her. She’s my history-based, out of the blue, ever reliable daughter. Someone that has really gotten through me the most. But I never knew in what ways, really. But, uhm, I think our friendship will do. This girl did a lot of crazy things for my sake. And I to her. But mostly, her to me. I remember her, doing “it” with “someone” that made me FREE! I’m free! That, I think, was the moment that I could say, this girl? This girl will do anything I ask of her <laugh>*. Kidding. I mean, that moment just intensified my faith that our friendship is ever eternal, infinite, endless, undying, and crazy! The fifth adjective defines it the best.

Day 9 is over. Don’t forget to check my other blogs. Thank you :D

Boracay For The Win!

One great moment in my life that I would never, ever forget. Me and my anak went to Boracay for a "SK related  thing". It was great. No, it was awesome. NO! It was magnificent! From the long beach, to the white sand, to comfortable hotel suites, to great variety of purchasable items and souvenirs, to the hippest disco bars (though we never went in), to the topless sun bathing foreign girl... it was all perfect!

Arriving at Boracay. Oh, this is your first glimpse of me. Now, you can truly compare us. Are we really father and daughter?

See that? That's my newly bought shades in Boracay. It cost me a fortune. But that's all right with me. I can manage. Unfortunately, the girl beside me is my anak. She has her shades, too. I think that came from Taiwan. Not really sure.

Taken at the hotel's lobby. That switch you see takes you to a very different world. I don't know where but I'm pretty sure it's outside of the Philippines. There's snow, man.

Along the beach in front of a coconut tree. And there is someone just above my anak's head. I wanted to know who it was. But I never had the chance.

At a very expensive tourist shopping center. As the sign says so. And I saw something weird here. A shirt and a shorts made of, how do you call it, katsa? *<laughs>*. And mind you, it sure is expensive. Something I don't want to recommend.

Nothing to say. Sorry.

I really wanted to mention a huge difference between us. But I managed to constrain myself.

Our first lunch. Eat-all-you-can but I never ate all I can here.

I am not sure what to call that brown thing just in front of me. But it does taste great. Try it.

I always tell her that this is, by far, the best shot we had in Boracay. Why, because it shows half of me with face, and just half of my anak without her face. *<evil laugh>*

Wondering why we're not focused on the camera? Kris Aquino just passed by! Whoa.

I have stomachache there. Just look at the pain in my face. And my anak is happy about it. Bad girl!

This is the biggest crab I have ever seen in my entire life! Oh, you say this is not a crab? Uhmm, ok. So this is the biggest frog I have ever seen!

Our first swim. Well, after the swimming, actually. It always reminds of bringing someone with us. Just to take pictures as we do things there. *<sigh>*

I don't have any idea what that food is. But my anak sure likes it. Look at her.

Oh, we were kicked out from our hotel. That made us scavengers!

She's worried about something. And I just don't care.

And this one. This one. This one is my most favorite picture of her. Look how she tries hard to look sweet. Kinda a lot of effort there. But it's worth it. It caught my attention.

That's it. These are some of the pictures we shared during that trip. We had hundreds, though. But these caught my attention.

My Anak!

A brief history. We kinda have one. When it all started to be like this (and sometimes I regret it *<giggle>*). My anak's name is Menchie Angelique Ablig. I don't know why was she named like that. Because I really can't see the "angelique" in her. *<laughs>*

It all started through texting, like most love stories do. But ours was never a love story. Tragedy for me, kinda like that. I was 4th year in highschool back then. She wasn't born yet. Nah, just kidding. She was in 3rd year that time. I do not recall how on earth our communication started, it just did. How we arrived in Daddy-anak relationship is quite explainable. Just like the way you explain the relationship between Boyle's Law to Hess's Law.

It was because of a forsaken chain text. It says (paraphrased), "if I am to be someone other than a friend, what would I be?" There were choices given. Like mother, brother, daughter, girlfriend, etc. etc. And to my great astonishment, like I've been pushed to choose it, I replied with "daughter". And my reason was "you're delicious to be taken care of (masarap kang alagaan, eh)." But I have proven otherwise. She was not delicious! *<laughs>*

That was it. It all started with that. And it went stronger and stronger as time passed by. I wish it didn't, though. It would have been better if we just remained strangers to each other.

But, of course, she is one of those very few people I can trust my darkest secrets with. But not all, there's one she doesn't know yet. It's a secret only me and Nikky know.

Yeah. That's her. The one with the blue shoulder bag. We just arrived at Bohol airport in this picture but obviously, I'm nowhere to be seen. I took the picture, if you really are looking for me. Look at her, just look at her. And tell me if it really is just for her to call me Daddy. Oh, not clear? Can't blame you, I took that picture 5 miles away.

This is her. Up close and personal. And don't ask me who the heck that guy is. I really don't have any idea. We were eating here. Island City Mall, I think. She sure does look pleased about something. Who knows what.

I do have a lot of pictures of her in my album. And I'm gonna add some of the worst here. Just to entertain you (and her, of course).
